I took two pretty nice pictures with my new camera. These are the first pictures that I have taken with that camera. Still have to learn quite a bit. The overall quality of the images with my new camera is alot better. Both pictures were edited with Photoshop 7. Curves and Levels adjustments.

Awesome Saturn

I finally got a picture of Saturn I can be proud of. :) This picture is made of 501 frames stacked with Registax. Wavelets changed. Unsharp mask applied. Curves and levels adjusted. The only thing I don't really like about it is that it is so sharp, I like how it brings out the details tho.

This was stacked in Registax. About 740 frames used. Color correction, unsharp mask, and curves adjustment was used. The reason the white polar ice cap is not shown is because this was taken with just a red filter attached to the LPI. I probably could make it white, but I'm not that good yet, and I'd rather not make the image more...photoshoped then it needs to be.

I believe about 710 frames were stacked. This wasn't stacked using Registax, I got this image straight off of the Meade Suite and then did color balance, seperate curves color adjustment, and applied an unsharp mask.

The best saturn shot I have with some decent color. Believe it or not this is just one frame taken from my LPI Camera. As usual it was taken with a LX200. I unsharp masked it slightly..

I'm going to be posting more photos processed with Photoshop here soon! Now that I have gotton Photoshop I can reprocess alot of my pictures and make them.....better!

One of the previous shots of M5 I took. This time it is in grayscale and is resampled to make it bigger. I also placed a slight unsharp mask on it to make it a bit more crisper.

It has been cloudy for the past week so I havn't been able to take any astronomy pictures lately. Hopefully soon I'll have my astrophotographers kit which includes a f/6.3 focal reducer, T-Adapter, flip-mirror system, Plossl 9mm Illuminated Reticle Eyepiece, and anti-vibration pads.

Jupiter. The great red spot is clearly visable at the bottom right of the image. Taken with a DSI on a 8" LX200. 50 Frames stacked. Unsharp mask applied.

About 5 weeks ago I got my LX200 telescope. I havn't been able to use it much but have had some good success with it so far. I've took some nice photos with my Deep Sky Imager. Some of the pictures were pictures of Jupiter and Saturn. I havn't taken many pictures of deep sky objects yet since Im still learning how to take deep sky images, perhaps I'll have more luck when I get my f/6.3 focal reducer.
